Game Day At The Man Cave

This past Sunday’s Football Party will be hard to beat. It started off like any other Sunday, at my church; The Church of Meat at my grocery store. Grilling is a religion! Ask any guy?! After I picked up the fixings for Bacon Explosion (see below), I headed over to the snack/beer/soda zone and was blown away! ZERO NATION was waiting for me. It’s as if they tapped into my subconscious for their display.

“Let….Football….Out”, I said aloud. I get it (which is weird, cause I never get things like that).

The display was football or my kind of football. It wasn’t this cheesy, generic suck-fest you usually see with beer & chips. Instead it was bold football imagery, beautiful women and direct to the point messages; like, “IT’S GOOD” & “TASTE OF VICTORY” & my favorite “CAN IN MOTION”. Now I’m no ad man, but this stuff was badass!

They have a couple of “special teams” packages.

First is the 12th Man Pack; a regular sized 12 pack, but the 12th can is a vac-formed ZERO NATION t-shirt.

The second is the Roster Pack, 53 cans of Coke Zero. This one comes with a coach’s radio headset. Now I can channel my inner Bill Belichick and listen to the game at the same time.

With purchase of multiple packages you got a set of stringer pennants, coasters, chiller cups; plus there were great specials on Jack Daniels & Bacardi for making Black Jacks (Jack & Zero) & Black Bats (Bacardi & Zero).

I Picked up both [this stuff is too cool].

Then I noticed the “ZERO Playbook”. This thing is chock full of history, trivia, funny stories, recipes, photos, tailgate tricks, cold weather survival tips, etc. You name it and its there. I grabbed two; framing one for sure, the cover is awesome.

To top all this off they’re running a sweepstakes called THE WHOLE BOWL for a chance to win 4 tickets to all 4 BCS Bowl games and the Super Bowl. And guess where the seats are?! ROW ZERO! That’s right, field passes! Well you can bet your butt that Coke Zero is now on the menu at my place this Sunday and every given Sunday to come.

Bacon Explosion

Btw, the Bacon Explosion recipe was in The Playbook. So instead of me giving it to you, head out to your store and grab up your own.

And while you’re there pick up some Coke Zero & Let Football Out.
